Developing Healthy Work Habits and Skills

A virtual group for adults focusing on overcoming procrastination, decision-making, and establishing productive routines.Topics covered in this group include: planning self care, scheduling strategies, learning how to reward yourself for working toward difficult tasks, establishing a productive work environment, among others!  Groups will begin with a check in, mutual accountability on progress toward goals from the previous group, and discussion of a weekly topic and skill. Relevant findings from neuroscience, psychology, behavioral economics, choice architecture will be reviewed in relation to the topic of the week, and how you might apply those concepts to improve your own life. Groups end with sharing a personal plan and commitment to action for the coming week!

Mindfulness for Short Attention Spans

This group is perfect for anyone who has tried mindfulness meditation in the past and found it challenging due to difficulties with attention and focus. Mindfulness is a form of meditation emphasizing maintaining a present focus and non-judgmental acceptance of experience and yourself! Research has identified that developing a regular mindfulness practice can assist with stress and emotion management. Mindfulness practice also involves ‘awareness of one’s own attention’ or ‘paying attention to your attention.’ By developing this skill, participants may learn to more effectively notice and redirect their attention toward priorities, in a more accepting and nonjudgmental manner!
