Expanding on Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion

Northwest ADHD Treatment Center values, respects, and welcomes patients of all races, ethnicities, nations, languages, religions, socioeconomic classes, sexual orientations, gender identities, and forms of disability. We strive to provide a safe and inclusive environment for all our patients, staff, and providers and to facilitate greater access to services for marginalized individuals. With this commitment in mind, Northwest ADHD Treatment Center is actively reviewing its organizational policies, company-wide training, post-graduate training programs, hiring practices, and other systemic contributors, in an effort to provide truly equitable care for all.

Specifically, our DEI Committee was founded in May 2025 with the intention to review the current systems as they stand, provide recommendations for improvement, and review feedback regarding patient and employee concerns. A committee member attends executive meetings with upper-level management to share feedback and to advocate for clinic-wide changes. We also remain steadfast in our commitment to our existing initiatives, including having Medicaid recipients as approximately 50% of our clients, working with certified language interpreters to provide comprehensive care to non-English speakers, and partnering with a local community college to provide no-cost academic evaluations to students.

Our organization celebrates the unique identities of every person that we interact with while also acknowledging that there is a strong racial disparity in the identities held within our own team as predominantly White. This racial disparity mirrors the same disparities present in the medical and mental health fields at large, disparities from which we work to separate ourselves. While we know there are gaps in our understanding of our privilege, we are committed to using the privileges that we have to support all members of our community in accessing equitable, respectful, and culturally-informed mental health treatment.
