Kat Selah

PhD Clinical Psychology Resident
Dr. Selah is a psychologist resident who specializes in Autism and ADHD assessment and treatment, with particular passion for working with queer and gender-diverse youth. Their approach is neurodiversity-affirming, systems-based, and culturally and trauma-informed, rooted in compassion, integrity, humor, and respect. They draw on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and use gold-standard diagnostic tools such as ADOS and MIGDAS to provide individualized care. After earning a Master’s at Columbia University, Dr. Selah worked in litigative psychology before joining Dr. Joel Nigg at OHSU’s Center for ADHD Research. They went on to complete their PhD at OHSU and pre-doctoral internship at OHSU’s Doernbecher Children’s Hospital through the LEND program. They are currently a post-doctoral resident at NW ADHD. Outside of clinical work, Dr. Selah is an advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community and enjoys spending time with their wife, four children, granddaughter, and a chaotic household of pets, as well as reading, camping, creating hand-cut paper art, and singing karaoke.
