Korie Mullenberg

Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Korie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Washington in Seattle, where she developed a strong foundation in understanding human behavior and societal dynamics. Building on this knowledge, Korie pursued her passion for healthcare by earning her nursing degree in 2003 and went on to work in a variety of critical care settings. Eventually, she transitioned into mental health focused roles and made her way to Unity Behavioral Health as a staff nurse on the inpatient Adolescent Psychiatry Unit. Here, she worked closely with children and adolescents in crisis, honing skills in providing holistic and trauma-informed care with a goal of holding each child and adolescent in unconditional positive regard. Korie was trained and certified in Level 1 Collaborative Problem-Solving (CPS), a testament to her commitment to supporting those with high emotional reactivity and limited cognitive flexibility. She graduated in 2023 with a Master of Nursing, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree. Korie’s nursing philosophy is rooted in the belief of the inherent resilience of each individual and the CPS motto of “Kids do well when they can.” She finds great enjoyment in forging meaningful connections with her clients, while prioritizing their preferences, needs, and values. Outside of her professional life, Korie enjoys spending time on the river, fostering a backyard urban wildlife habitat, and spending treasured time with her partner and their three children.
