Rachel Lanning

Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with Therapy Services
Rachel is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who is trained to diagnose and treat ADHD and other co-morbidities. She has had a long interest in neuro-developmental disorders and believes individuals experience the highest quality of life when they engage in treatment from multiple modalities including medications, therapy, exercise, and lifestyle. She believes in using evidenced based interventions and has psychotherapy training in Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT). Prior to nursing, Rachel worked pastorally with high school students for over ten years. During those years she learned the importance of compassion, listening, and the impact of trauma on an individual’s health and well-being. She has leaned heavily on those skills in her work as a nurse, emphasizing patient concerns, values, and goals for treatment. Rachel can often be found hiking or running on many of the trails in the PNW listening to podcasts or her audible account. She has a tuxedo cat who is equal parts endearing and exasperating. Rachel has recently started baking sourdough bread and would appreciate any wisdom on how to keep her sourdough starter happy and make loaves that are the perfect complement to butter. Rachel hopes to continue as a compassionate listener and support to her clients with effective tools as they build lives they find meaningful.
