Jules Rickel

Professional Counselor Associate
Jules (they/them) is a professional counselor associate from Lewis & Clark Graduate School and holds a certification in Ecotherapy. Their work is rooted in a holistic, social justice–oriented approach that honors the deep connections between mind, body, community, and the natural world. Jules works with both adults and youth, with a special focus on neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ identities. They support individuals navigating identity exploration, trauma, burnout, chronic health conditions, anxiety, depression, relational issues, or the impact of systemic barriers and inequities. With both personal and professional experience in intellectual and developmental disability (I/DD) services — from Direct Support Worker to Supports Coordinator — Jules brings a deep respect for autonomy, lived experience, and self-advocacy. Their therapeutic approach is rooted in Multicultural Feminist Therapy and integrates Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and child-led practices. Jules incorporates expressive arts, somatic work, and nature-based interventions offering opportunities for reflection, regulation, and connection beyond traditional talk therapy. They view therapy as a collaborative process where clients can explore, heal, and grow in alignment with their values and hopes for themselves. Outside of the counseling room, Jules enjoys creating community through hiking, camping, paddle boarding, dancing, and creating art.
